Ad Esse to participate in Daffodil Run

05/03/2007

Unfortunately, due to poor weather conditions, the daffodil run has been postponed until the 20th of May.  We hope this extra preparation time will result in a quicker completion of the run when the day comes and a chance for team members to recover from their various injuries!

Marie Curie Cancer Care is just one of the charities supported by Ad Esse.  Beverley MacIntyre, Director-lead for CSR, who has worked with Marie Curie for two years now says:

"So many people's lives are affected by cancer.  I was introduced to the work of Marie Curie a few years ago, and was hugely impressed by what they do, in research, palliative care and by providing supportive hospice environments for those people in the last stages of life.  I have since heard so many accounts by patients and families about the marvellous care provided, that when the chance to raise money through the Daffodil Run came up, it was irresistible.

The 10k run takes place on 4th March in Northamptonshire and we're fielding a team of 5.  We're very enthusiastic but our average age (very old) and history of injuries means that accomplishing the run will be more a feat of endurance than of sporting finesse!  We do so hope that everyone we know will feel able to sponsor us."
