CENTRAL GOVERNMENT

The coalition’s greater emphasis on localistion and the ‘big society’, coupled with global economic challenges, means the role of UK central government has changed.  The focus now is to devolve accountability and to enable others through clear policy and funding arrangements.  Departments and agencies themselves are having to become streamlined, slimmer versions of their previous selves. Staff are needing to transform swiftly and develop their own capability at the same time, to ensure that they are self sufficient rather than consultant-dependent.

 Clients include:

  • The Identity & Passport Agency where we are developing continuous improvement Champions, providing training & working with them on real issues to create change
  • The Ministry of Justice with whom we have worked on a wide range of improvement projects
  • The Department for Work and Pensions, with whom we have worked to implement one of the largest improvement programmes in the Public Sector as part of The Lean Partnership
