CRIMINAL JUSTICE

Criminal Justice in the UK is faced with external and internal pressures resulting in:
•  Increased crime levels & increased service demand
•  The continuous need for public approval
•  Budgetary reductions equivalent to 17% in the Police; 15% Probation.
•  More collaboration between forces & force mergers
•  Political desire for mixed economy commissioning and competition
•  Social desire to be tough on crime but reduce prison numbers.

This has resulted in low staff morale and sometimes resistance to looking at costs and productivity.  External targets is still the focus rather than measurement that allows staff to improve.

In the face of these pressures, our clients are:
•  Embracing new ways of working.
•  Going ahead with full Lean implementations resulting in massive savings.
•  Allowing teams to take control of their work so they can take action as soon as a problem is identified.
