The publication of Lord Darzi’s report ‘High Quality Care for All’ sets fresh challenges, not only for the NHS but also for related private and third sector health and social care providers at strategic and operational levels. The NHS already delivers high quality care in many respects, but is now being challenged to match record investment in health and social care with delivery of value for money and to achieve challenging savings targets.
