Greek Philosopher Heraclitus is famously quoted as saying "Change is the only constant in life". Leading others through change effectively is a key leadership capability. However, if change is an accepted constant, why do so many organisations put an emphasis on leading through change as a specialist skill set rather than it being fundamental to any leaders day job?
This session examines what the leaders role is in delivering successful transformation, and what style of Leadership delivers a lasting continuous improvement culture. This will be a practical and interactive session that will encourage collaboration and networking to share experiences with each other.
Developed in Seattle, USA in 2009, Lean Coffee is a structured, but agenda-less meeting at which participants gather, build an agenda and begin discussing. See leancoffee.org. Conversations are directed and productive because the democratic nature of the meeting, and because of the innate topic interest and expertise of the participants.
Our Lean Coffee discussion groups always receive fantastic feedback. The theme of Leadership is kept deliberately high-level so that the conversation can be directed by the group, not us.
The following diagram explains how the Lean Coffee discussion groups work.
Once you're booked on to attend then think of two discussion points (topics) to bring with you to the event that can feed into your Lean Coffee discussion group. It can be anything on the topic of Leadership. See the video below for some inspiration.
